On Saturday, November 19, governor Wike made a lot of statements during the flag- off of the Rivers state PDP gubernatorial campaign
In one of his statements, he dared the national chairman of the party to sue him because he has enough evidence to prove that he (Iyorchia Ayu) is a very corrupt man who stole about a billion Naira that is meant for the PDP.
He said ” If anybody feels hurt, let him go to court and challenge me. Nobody will listen to a corrupt man. I challenge Ayu, you are corrupt, you cannot lead me to any campaign. Rivers State will not. ”
” Ayu is corrupt. Rivers people are hurt. Ayu you are fighting corruption, how do you fight corruption? I said you took N1bn. I told you, you took the money we realized from the primaries. Ayu sue me. You cannot fight Rivers State and go free. ”
He also made it clear in his statement that he is waiting for the PDP to take a step against him or sack him from the party as he is ready to fully show the type of person that he is. He said the PDP would be shown pepper should the party decide to expel him ahead of the polls.
Meanwhile, the Rivers state governor has made it clear that in 2023, all members of his camp who are not in support of what is happening at the present moment in the PDP would win the election of their respective state with or without the contribution of the chairman and the presidential candidate of the party.
