APC Cheiftain Reveals What Amaechi Told Them To Do After He Was Defeated By Tinubu

Lawrence Chukwu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has revealed what former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi told members of the party to do after he was defeated by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the APC presidential primary election a few months ago. Amaechi was running against Tinubu for the presidential nomination of the APC.

In order to secure the All Progressives Congress presidential nomination for the upcoming general election in 2023, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State who is now the All Progressives Congress National Leader, prevailed over other candidates, including the former Minister of Transport.

As a response, Lawrence Chukwu stated in an interview with The Punch Newspaper that after the presidential primary election of the ruling party, Rotimi Amaechi came back to address members of the party in Rivers State and told them to work for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all other candidates in the APC. This was stated by Chukwu in his capacity as a member of the party in Rivers State.

He further continued to express his dissatisfaction over the emergence of tinubu

” In fact, we began consultations with our people and communities about how to vote for all APC candidates, including Tinubu, because he is one of our candidates. We are party men and women. We don’ t indulge in anti- party activities.
