Following Atiku Abubakar’ s nomination as the party’ s presidential candidate, the PDP has been experiencing a leadership crisis.
Ayu’ s resignation has been demanded in response to this by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and a few PDP leaders.
According to Wike and his supporters including Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, the PDP National Chairman and the presidential candidate shouldn’ t be from the same region.
WHY Benue Group Issued Strong Warning To Benue People Over Ortom’ s Call For Ayu’ s Resignation
According to the Daily Post, a group known as the Jemgbagh Concerned Youths Forum, JCYF, has warned the residents of Benue State’ s Gboko area not to allow themselves to be duped by the current crisis between Governor Samuel Ortom and Iyorchia Ayu.
According to JCYF, some individuals who were misled into harboring animosity toward Ortom as a result of the conflict with Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP National Chairman, may have changed their minds.
Ayu’ s ouster as PDP National Chairman has been demanded by Ortom, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and other party leaders.
They assert that Atiku Abubakar, the PDP candidate for president, and Ayu cannot both be from the same region.
The customary titles given to Ortom and his wife, as well as the recognition, according to JCYF, show that those who later tried to poison the minds of the Gboko people and the Jemgbagh people in general against Ortom have failed.
