BIG BANG! ! ! You Must Pay 5 Million- Governor Wike Issues Warning To Parties Ahead Of Political Rallies In Rivers State

The governor of Rivers state, Governor Nyesom Wike had made a bold move a few days after the commencement of political rallies in the country.

As the governor of Rivers state, he signed an executive order on Friday, prompting political parties who plan to conduct rallies in Rivers state to pay a certain amount of money before the date of the rally.

Also in his statement, he insisted that the local government chairman in any local government in Rivers state has the right to take a step against by individual or political party in the state who ignores his order or carries out any form of rally without proper approval and consultation.

Revealing the reason for the move, he explained that politicians and political parties might damage some properties or cause some other damages during their party event in the state, and in other to solve or repair what might be damaged as a result of their activities, they need to pay a total sum of 5 million before the date of the said rally.

According to a report from Sahara Reporters, the governor of Rivers state on Friday, October 7, took a step to prevent political parties from damaging the properties of the people of Rivers state. In his order, he also banned any rally on school premises across the state due to damages that might be caused or done to school properties.
