BLOODBATH In Enugu As FULANI HERDSMEN Attack Community, Kill 8, Injure Others

Abor is an agricultural village located in Eha- Amufu, Isi- Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State in Nigeria’ s south- eastern region. On Sunday, it was thought that a large number of people were slain when suspected herders raided Abor.

The village was assaulted about eight in the morning by a group of armed individuals who were said to number more than one hundred.

Jude Eze, a local citizen, shared information that in addition to the people who had been slain in the assault, scores of other villagers had also been wounded.

Mr. Eze said that certain community leaders were continuing to count the remains that had previously been retrieved in order to identify the precise number of those who had been murdered in the assault.

It has been learned that members of the community acting as vigilantes engaged the criminals in a firefight at the beginning of the incident. However, the assailants had a greater number of people, which allowed them to easily defeat them.

During the assault, the hoodlums reportedly allegedly took the life of a prominent commander of the vigilante operators, according to a second local resident who pleaded not to be identified.

According to him, the security agents entered the neighborhood in perhaps three police vehicles and one armored vehicle.
