Samuel Ortom, the governor of Benue state has finally made a statement amid the ongoing crisis in the PDP. He insisted that the people of the PDP are aware of what is happening in the party and now, the right step must be adopted to end the crisis in other not to affect the chances of the PDP in the forthcoming presidential election.
He made the statement a few weeks after the camp of Wike dumped the presidential council of Atiku Abubakar over the refusal of the PDP candidate to force Ayu to step down from his position.
Wike had said that Ayu and Atiku Abubakar made some promises to him and all these promises must be fulfilled. Also, Wike is believed to have made some promises to the PDP before the presidential primary election of the party.
While speaking to the PDP delegates at the venue of the PDP presidential primary election, he revealed that the PDP needs a strong presidential candidate to win the forthcoming presidential election and he would love to represent the party.
He added that he would remain in the PDP and support the party if he does not win the ticket but a few weeks after the end of the primary, Wike stated that he would not support the presidential ambition of Atiku Abubakar unless the chairman of the party resigns his appointment.
He added that he would assist the PDP to lose the forthcoming presidential election if the wishes of his camp is not considered by the party.
