A family in Anambra is currently crying out for justice, claiming that their son, Chijoke, was killed by a notorious ex- CSP, James Nwafor, a former SARS officer, who is now retired, as gathered by Sahara Reporters.
A sister of the victim took to social media to demand for her brother’ s body to be released by the police force, in a series of Tweets.
The lady, @Ada_mummyya, wrote on her Twitter handle that her family had grown weary of fighting to get the corpse, having seen their efforts continually frustrated.
Two years ago, the lady alleged that James Nwafor had boasted to the family that nothing could happen to him, that he dropped more than 100 corpses into the Ezu River, which made her father swim in the river to look for his son’ s corpse.
According to her, back then, he had initially denied arresting Chijoke, until her parents saw him and identified him. But he was not released.
The next day, she claimed that he admitted to her parents that he killed Chijoke, daring them to do their worst to him. Her mother, on hearing the news, had allegedly slumped to the ground and had to be taken to the hospital.
Ada had also claimed that although they went to see the police commissioner in the state, he told him his hands were tied in the matter.
Despite James’ claim of killing Chijoke, the family had heard from people who left police custody that they saw the young man.
