After the death of one Ashiru Tofa in the Limawa neighborhood of Minna, the state capital, the Niger State Police Command has reportedly arrested 17 unruly teenagers, according to an article that was just published by the DAILY POST.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun in Minna, the command claimed that the suspects were detained in connection with the death of one of the boys who had been stabbed during the conflict between them.
According to what was written, ” some miscreants of Ogbomosho Street, Angwan- Daji, and the Limawa neighborhood of Minna involved themselves in a battle with deadly weapons. ”
” This is as a direct result of this conflict, one individual named Ashiru Tofa from the Limawa area was fatally stabbed. ”
The command disclosed that in response to the development, police operatives attached to ” A” Division Minna sprang into action and arrested a notorious handset snatcher and thug named 22- year- old Umar Aminu, also known as Ogobin of Limawa.
During a house- to- house raid in the city of Minna, according to the statement that was obtained by the DAILY POST, Ogobin reportedly assisted the police in identifying the 17 other criminals who were wanted in connection with the investigation.
The suspects include Naziru Rabiu, also known as Bush, who is 20 years old; Musa Suleiman, who is 23 years old; and Nuhu Saidu, who is 19 years old.
