In order to decide on its next course of action, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has stated that it will review the Appeal Court’ s decision ordering the union to cease its strike.

According to a report by DAILY POST, the appeals court ordered the union to immediately resume work as previously mandated by the National Industrial Court.

ASUU President Professor Emmanuel Osodeke stated in response to the new court verdict that the union has not yet received a formal copy of the Appeal Court decision.

He stated that the union would review the judgment with its attorneys after receiving it and determine its course of action.

He said, ” We have not received the ruling, when we get it, we will review it with our lawyer and then we can take the next step” .

According to DAILY POST, the Federal Government took ASUU to the National Industrial Court on September 11 after failing to strike a truce with the university lecturer.
