The Chairman of Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume practically spit fire on a live show during his encouter with Seun Okinbaloye of Channels TV on Thursday.

The senator was live on the Thursday edition of Channels TV Politics Today to speak on the deadly attack carried out by terrorists at the Kuje Prison, Abuja on Tuesday night.

Since the attack was launched, Nigerians have been reacting and calling on appropriate authorities to get to the root of the matter, rearrest those who were set free and ensure the terrorists are nabbed.

Over 1000 inmates among who are members of Boko Haram set, hardened Criminals and other inmates who are awaiting trials were released after the terrorists invaded the premises to carry out the operation.

It was gathered that the criminals operated for about three hours non-stop before they left after accomplishing their mission.

Reacting to the development on Thursday while featuring on the live Programme, Senator Ali Ndume said it is shameful and disappointing that such a thing could happen at a government facility that is close to the seat of power and 24 hours later, no arrest has been made.

Trouble however started when the host, Seun Okinbaloye asked the senator to comment on what the Senate president said when he visited the scene.

The Senate president, Ahmed Lawan had visited the sight on Thursday morning and expressed his disappointment about the incident. Lawal lamented that such an attack could have been prevented if necessary measures were put in place.

However, Ndume refused to comment on Lawan’s statement because he felt it was too watery considering the monumental tragedy of the situation on ground.

Notwithstanding his decision to remain silent on Senate president reaction, Seun Okinbaloye insisted he should say something. Angered by Okinbaloye’s sturboness, Ali Ndume told him he is very disappointed in him.

He said he came to the station for a serious business but here is what he is asking him to be discussing. He explained that if he had known this is the question he would be asking him, he (Ndume) would not have agreed to come to the station.

He told Okinbaloye he doesn’t know the right questions to ask and insisted he should redirect his question or end the segment.

Ndume made this known during the live TV programme on Thursday.
