Joeboy Honored At The 2022 BMI London Awards (PHOTO)

Raving Nigerian musician and songwriter, Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, better known by his stage name, Joeboy was honored at the 2022 BMI London Awards.

The multifaceted recording and performing artiste was honored for his contribution to Ckay’s monster hit single, ‘Love Nwantiti’ which also features award-winning Ghanaian singer, Kuami Eugene.

The songwriters, including the emPawa Africa prodigy, Joeboy as well as the publishers of ‘Love Nwantiti’ were awarded at the ceremony which was held at London’s Savoy Hotel on Monday, October 3, 2022.

The ceremony was hosted by BMI president, chief executive Mike O’Neill, and BMI Europe vice president of creative Shirin Foroutan. ‘Love Nwantiti’ was among the songs that were awarded under the ‘Most-Performed Songs of the Year’ category. This category honors songs that have received the most airplay on terrestrial radio, satellite radio, and digital streaming services in the previous year. Taking to the bird app via his verified handle, Joeboy acknowledge CKay for putting him on the record. He wrote; “Blessed to be on this record, big love @ckay_yo”.

MEANWHILE: Grammy-winning recording artiste and entertainer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known within the showbiz circles as Burna Boy is having a good run with his output, ‘Last Last’.

The African Giant and the Odogwu of Afrobeats on Friday, May 13, 2022, blessed the screens with a colorful and eye-pleasing visual to his monster hit single, ‘Last Last’ off his ‘Love, Damini’ studio album published on Thursday, July 7, 2022.

Well, the Nigerian Afrobeats star has marked his belt with yet another enviable feat as visuals of ‘Last Last’ surpassed 100 million views on online video sharing and social media platform, YouTube.

The feat comes a few days after the same song ‘Last Last’ hit the number-one spot on the United States Urban Radio Charts.
