It was reported that some of the Igbo- speaking people who live in Lagos state have indicated that they will vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming general election in 2023.
According to Naija Politics, Joe Igbokwe, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo- Olu, on Drainage and Water Resources, made this statement to the public on Thursday during a rally that was attended by several important Igbo stakeholders and party chieftains.
Igbokwe claimed that Tinubu is the most qualified candidate to hold the position of president of the country.
The leader of the APC further stated that the Igbo people will vote for the party’ s presidential candidate at all levels of government, from the local government areas to the state and federal levels.
Igbokwe, while speaking with journalists, denied the report circulating that all Igbo people are Obidients, and supported Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
He said, ” From the local government to state level, APC is our party and we are ready to deliver our candidate, ” Igbokwe said on the program aired on Arise News.
” It is not through that all Igbos are obidient, we belong to the APC and not Labour Party. “
