Malami marries Buhari’s daughter, Nana Hadiza, as third wife
Friday at the Presidential Villa, in a low-key ceremony, Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami married Nana Hadiza, President Muhammadu Buhari’s third daughter from his first marriage.
After the Jumat prayer, the event reportedly took place inside the State House Mosque, away from the prying eyes of unwelcome guests, including the media.
It was conducted following the Jamat prayer, according to a source with knowledge of the ceremony. Vanguard report.
The source, who requested anonymity, stated that it is true that the Attorney General is now formally the President’s in-law. He married Hadiza, from the late first wife Safinatu, his deceased first wife, who was a daughter of Baba.
According to Vanguard, “The Nikkah was performed in the State House mosque after the Jumat prayer, but few people were there. Journalists were not permitted to attend because it was intended to be a private ceremony, the person claimed.
With the new marriage, Nana Hadiza becomes Attorney-General Malami’s third wife, having been married to Aisha and Fatima before now.
The bride had six children with Abdulrahman Mamman Kurfi during their previous marriage, which ended in divorce.
