Popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi revealed on Sunday in an exclusive interview that the government needs to take immediate steps to stop all forms of insecurity in the country in other for the people to feel safe and have a sense of belonging.
Remember that the activities of bandits, unknown gunmen, terrorists, and many other criminal elements in different parts of the country have led to the loss of lives, destruction of property, and underdevelopment in many areas.
While the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in conjunction with the state governors and the security forces has continued to wage heavy war against these criminal elements, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi on Sunday, revealed that insecurity can not be eliminated with the use of guns and bombs but education.
To stop all forms of insecurity and make the country safe for the people, he urged the government to fight all forms of illiteracy and give the people quality education as it would help to reform their minds and think right.
He went on to add that it is also very important for the government to find a way to create jobs for the people in other to keep them busy and allow them to earn a living and sustain themselves.
According to a report from The Cable, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi on Sunday declared that the cause of insecurity in Nigeria and many other countries is poverty and illiteracy.
