Adamu Abdullahi, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a stern warning that the party and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, could end up losing the election in 2023 if they do not receive the support of governors.
Meanwhile, it is important to know that a meeting took place on Wednesday over the controversial campaign council list between the leadership of the APC, the National Working Committee (NWC), members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), and the leadership of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
However, Abdullahi Adamu, while speaking with the media issued a stern warning to the leadership of the APC, saying that they needed to do what was right within the framework established by INEC’ s guidelines.
During his introductory remarks, Adamu emphasized the significance of the governors giving their support to the party for it to win the presidential election in 2023.
He said, ” being the chief executive officers of their various states, the onus of our great party lies in the hands of God and their hands because they are the commanders of the party fortunes in their various states.
” We cannot make meaningful progress in the affairs of these states, particularly in an election year that is approaching. We cannot plan without the buy- in of our governors so that we can stand together, believing that we share the same aspirations.
