A suspected bandits and bandits’ gunrunner has fallen into the net of the police in Katsina state. This happened when the police who were on patrol duty intercepted a vehicle full of guns and ammunition.
It was reported by Daily Post on Monday that a suspected bandit has been arrested by the men of the Katsina state police command on the outskirts of Kaduna when he was transporting arms and ammunition.
According to the source, the security operatives intercepted a vehicle loaded with arms and ammunition. It was gathered that the vehicle was heading to Katsina state when it was sighted by the police.
The police public relations officer in the state, DSP Mohammed Jalige revealed the development to the newsmen in a statement released on Sunday, 9 October 2022. The police spokesperson maintained that the police who were working to reduce the level of violent crimes in the state intercepted a Sharon vehicle around Sabon Gaya along the Kaduna- Abuja road on 2 October 2022 at about 1: 30 pm. The vehicle was driven by a man identified as Lawal Abdul, a resident of Niger state in Minna.
The vehicle was heading to Katsina state when the police smelt a rat about its movement and stopped it for a search. When the police searched the vehicle, they discovered sophisticated arms and ammunition in it and they arrested the driver immediately.
