Accusations that the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, are a terrorist organization have been dismissed by Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP).
The Daily Post quotes Obi as saying that IPOB members are not terrorists.
Following the struggle for Biafra’ s actualization, the Nigerian government banned IPOB.
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, and his group have persisted in their efforts to have Biafra recognized despite the ban.
However, the separatist group vehemently denied being a terrorist organization.
However, Obi backed up assertions that gang members are not terrorists.
The presidential aspirant told Channels Television that the IPOB members in his immediate vicinity are not a danger to the nation.
