Following the 2019 presidential election, in which he was victorious for a second term in office, President Muhammadu Buhari’ s kin, acting under the auspices of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), said that the Nigerian leader had neglected them.
Through MACBAN’ s national president Baba- Othman Ngelzarma, they made the accusation. Even though they had publicly endorsed and supported Buhari’ s candidacy for reelection in 2019, he described how they had been let down. After winning the elections, the president, according to Ngelzarma, abandoned them.
MACBAN said that the federal government had neglected livestock production in the distribution of the N500 billion it had spent on agronomy over the previous seven years while briefing journalists in Abuja over the weekend.
