A man has reportedly passed away after he was trying to prove to his friends that he is the boss when it comes to drinking palm wine. The man sadly collapsed and died immediately after he drank 9 full bottles of palm wine at a local bar in the Ekiti State of Nigeria. The sad incident reportedly happened last Friday, October 9th, 2022.
According to the nearby witnesses, they claim that the deceased man and his friends were all drunkards so he was trying to prove to his friends that nobody can compete with him when it comes to drinking palm wine. His friends then challenged him and told him that he is lying because he can’ t even drink 5 full bottles of palm wine.
Due to this, the deceased man became angry and accepted their challenge. He told them that if he drinks 10 full bottles of palm wine, they would all pay him 500 dollars each. But if he doesn’ t, they would rather pay them the $500 each. So they accepted his challenge.
The deceased man and his friends then entered a small bar in the town of Bokkos, a local government area of Plateau State and they told the bartender to give him 10 bottles of palm wine. He said he would drink everything down to the last drop. After he made the request, the bat tender himself was scared because how can someone drink 10 full bottles of palm wine?
