Why Wike Was Absent From The Osun PDP Rally
More details have emerged regarding River Governor Nyesom Wike’s absence from a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gathering in Osun State.
Wike was reportedly absent from the ceremony due to a feud with the party’s 2023 Presidential contender, Atiku Abubakar.
According to a reputable source, Wike had not yet returned from a trip overseas.
“You know that everyone will know if Governor Wike is in Nigeria.” However, he is yet to return to the country after attending his son’s graduation ceremony in the United Kingdom last week.”
Jordan, the son of Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike, last weekend, reportedly graduated with a second-class upper and received a law degree from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.
His wife, Eberechi Nyesom-Wike, and their daughter, Jasmine, were there at the ceremony to celebrate with him.
However, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, a PDP stalwart and former member of the House of Representatives, indicated that the governor may have opted to skip the Osun rally due to unresolved disputes inside the party.
“The truth is that you know there are issues in the PDP that have not been resolved,” Nwuke stated. Wike certainly enjoys his parties, but you don’t expect him to show up when the weather isn’t cooperating.
